The Lost Cookbook

For my final project in Professor Martha Sledge’s World Literature in Context class I chose to make a cookbook that told the story of Caryl Phillips’ The Lost Child through the food mentioned in the novel.

Ballet Barre

I came up with this idea when I felt like there must be a better way for tall dancers (like myself!) and small dancers (like the young dancers I teach!) to use the ballet barre with the same amount of comfort. The collapsible barre would be light enough and small enough to fit in a bag. It would clip onto the top of the barre for tall dancers and would hang underneath the barre for shorter dancers. From the beginning of their training until the end, dancers should be able to have the same grip on their barre.
